Working from home, home schooling and a family obsession with high-end cycling took up every available millimetre of space in this Chorlton family house that was quite simply bursting at the seams. A planned move three months earlier had been stopped abruptly by social distancing guidelines that prohibited house moves in all but essential cases. So, it’s no surprise that when the restrictions were lifted they were amongst the first to call upon our services. On move day, with all their belongings carefully packed, Sarah and the boys slipped out of the house to spend the day nearby with family leaving our team to load their life onto the trucks. Both houses had attic conversions, and the second a cellar: we’ve never seen so many stairs (or bikes) in one family home. But by the time the kids arrived at their new house for a chippy tea, all their books, bikes and Lego sets were magically transported to their new bedrooms complete with freshly made up beds. A happy day for everyone – look at those smiles.
